The Meriden Business & Learning Center was most responsive to meeting our company’s peculiar need for customized training. Our production process runs on a twenty-four hour basis, and uses shift schedules that have made it difficult for us to schedule training. AGC developed a relationship with the Meriden Business & Learning Center early on when they provided us with a basic skills assessment of roughly one hundred of our employees. From that assessment, MBLC developed and conducted courses in English-As-A-Second-Language and Basic Math Skills. The courses were designed to improve the English speaking and reading skills of over forty of our employees and to upgrade the math skills of an additional twenty-five employees.
Two of our employees took part in a series of Human Resource workshops including: Family and Medical Leave Act, Diversity, Irrevocable Decision Making and Sexual Harassment Prevention. We also involved several of our supervisors in Conflict Resolution, Team Building, and Workplace Violence Prevention workshops.
We have been very pleased with the quality of instruction and the location and physical presentation of their facility. As additional training needs develop, we will definitely consider MBLC again.

The Meriden Business & Learning Center has consistently demonstrated the ability to meet the needs of the local business community, by providing affordable and customized training.
