AGC developed a relationship with the Meriden Business & Learning Center early on when they provided us with a basic skills assessment of roughly one hundred of our employees.  From that assessment, MBLC developed and conducted courses in English-As-A-Second-Language and Basic Math Skills.  The courses were designed to improve the English speaking and reading skills of over forty of our employees and to upgrade the math skills of an additional twenty-five employees. Two of our employees took part in a series of Human Resource workshops including:  Family and Medical Leave Act, Diversity, Irrevocable Decision Making and Sexual Harassment Prevention.  We also involved several of our supervisors in Conflict Resolution, Team Building, and Workplace Violence Prevention workshops. We have been very pleased with the quality of instruction and the location and physical presentation of their facility.  As additional training needs develop, we will definitely consider MBLC again.
